hello thanks for your nice feedbacks. It say SAMPLE BALLOT so I think it is for practicing. There is letter for which you can request absentee ballot if you wish but I am going to be present in USA and not absent so I want to vote by going to election station at library.

Yes, sample ballots went out last week. We got them too. You do not have to be absent to vote absentee. In FL, every eligible voter may vote by mail - the absentee ballot letter you received makes that clear. You can also get your vote-by-mail ballot in person at select election offices. I'll probably do that this week since I expect early voting to have long lines due to the shortened early voting this year and the monstrous ballot they produced with all these garbage amendments to the state constitution and other nonsense.

yes that last page with the amendments are really crazy. There is one about unicorporated Villages? It gives me headache. I see you can request absentee ballot but I dont trust the mail what if someone throws its away..... I want to make sure my vote is counted I am going in person and voting for Barack Obama. If you do not mind it too much who are you voting for? BTW I respect your vote.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

It's a shame really, they used to be about something bigger than this...

“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.” – Coretta Scott King

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

Like most organizations that had a message in the 60's...they lost their focus.

True, it used to be about equal rights looking out for each other. I did some research on this a while ago and I found out they actually started a program called Free Breakfast for Children and the Government had to match it by doing in public schools all over the country. Too bad they lost sight of what they could have become.

You can pick-up your vote-by-mail ballot in person and you can also hand-deliver it back to the elections office. You can do that in one trip - pick-up your ballot, cast your votes, sign it and hand it back in. This started last week and continues through this week. Don't need to rely on the mail.
