Okay, so my I 129F package is just waiting on my fiance's forms to get here and I've begun working ahead... my affadavit of support. I've requested tax returns, getting copies of pay stubs, and I emailed the home office of my job. I explained to human resources what I'm doing and requested a letter on company letter head saying that I am an employee of blah blah and was hired blah blah and I make such amount an hour. I thanked her in advance for her time.

This is what she wrote back...

"We can complete an employment verification form for you, with your signature but we do not just draft this types of letters."

So I replied "Then I would like an employment verification form please."

She replied "We don't provide the form, they are provided by the agency requesting the information. If you simply need proof of employment, a pay stub should be sufficient."

Ugh. How do you deal with people like this? And she missed the part about company letter head. In fact, she missed everything. Suggestions?

with my employer, the associated law firm handles this, not HR. Does your employer have an associated law firm attached to it? Contact them.

I don't think you need the Affidavit of support form & stuff until the Interview stage in the embassy.

I had the same trouble with my company. I just spoke with my boss and wrote my information on paper had him sign it as verification.

Our company used some 3rd party for verification and claimed they didn't issue form letters. I kept calling and talking to varios people saying that this is a request for the US government in a 3rd country and NO they couldn't use the 800 number and finially got to someone that agreed that they could send me a letter. Took about 8 calls.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I would try speaking to the hr manager too, because even when I was changing in state status for school my company had to wrote a letter stating I work there as a blah for blah months. It had to be on the company's letterhead. Keep trying to talk to direct HR rep, and ask them what you need to do because their is no form. Its not an uncommon request

My company has a letter we access through their intranet system and print it out where we view our pay stubs and tax info. We do not even have access to an HR dept, but if your company isn't that large the HR mgr should be able to advise you. Employees request these regularly for common things such as loan applications. They have to have some type of system in place to address this. When you call again, maybe asking to speak to a supervisor would help. Best wishes.
