I know this is probably dependent on each office, however I wanted to know what others have had in regards to waiting time from when the notification was sent that the file was in process to schedule an interview to actually receiving the appointment letter? Right now I am at 6 weeks, so I just wondered.

Thanks,

Thanks,

If you have been scheduled for an interview and its been six weeks since the scheduling, then you need to call the USCIS number ASAP and inquire. Place a service request. You should have received an interview letter long ago. Talk to a tier 2 officer. On the other hand, if its just an "inline for interview" notification, then it pretty much means nothing. Depending on your local office, you could be scheduled in a week or three months. Maybe, even more. Good luck!

Beakon - there is a few of us that have been in line for almost 3 months, such as Mayfiler and myself. USCIS is unwilling to open a service request if you are within 90 days of being put in line. You are of course free to try, but I have attempted numerous time without much luck. If you do call, please report back with the info they give you.

As always, good luck to all!

Yeah it's the waiting for notification of an interview. I guess I will give it another 6 weeks and call them up at that time. Everything seemed to be moving fairly quickly up until this point.

It does vary by DO. I'm in Atlanta, in line since 7/30. There are some who have been in line in Atlanta for longer than me.

Some get a notice they're in line, then a day or two later, they're scheduled.

Your mileage may vary :)
