Our petition was sent to the Consulate on Sept. 28th. If I'm correct, going off of the instructions on the DHL website, it was signed for on Oct. 1st. Shouldn't we have heard something by now? Is it possible this silence indicates we were sent into AP? :( I called NVC today to find out, was on hold for 20 mins, but had to go to a Dr's appointment, so I had to hang up.

It seems like 10 days is a lot, going off of timelines I've checked out. Am I being over sensitive? I'm a whiny cry baby. I know. I just miss him. Heart, mind, and soul. It's been 1 year, 1 week, and 2 days since I've been in his arms. When I am with him, I feel like I'm home.

Sorry. Off my tangent. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that you have received your Dept. of State (DoS) case file number. Has the petitioner called the DoS hotline @ 202-663-1225 (hit 1, then 0, to speak to a human) to inquire about the status of your petition? Have either of you tried to email the consulate inquiring about the status of your petition? Be pro-active, after all it is your petition.

Good luck on your visa journey.

It is so strange when my fiance spoke with NVC they said that they have send our case by Bulgaria on 10/02

Yesterday we reciece an official letter from NVC dated 10/03 which stated that within a week they will forward the case to the embassy.

So who shall we trust - the letter or the NVC employee? :bonk:

I have not heard of the DoS hotline. Ty!

You are most welcome.

From my experience, I am of the impression that the DoS visa specialists have access to the same info as the interviewing consulate. In our case, the DoS folks, in Washington DC, could tell me when the IV unit in Guangzhou had accessed our case file. That was very helpful for us as we ran the visa gauntlet in the PRC. (Kudos to Uncle Darnell )

YMMV

Good luck on your visa journey.
