In regards to proof for myself. I still fill the attachments right? The bank information that I provide, it asks for the deposit amount for the past year (is that the year of entire 2011, or October 2012 to October 2011?)

I am also confused about what needs to be supplied, the instructions aren't super clear.

Here it says: "Evidence should consist of copies of any of the documents listed below that applies to your situation"

But then it says, "submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate"

The first implies only 1 is needed. The second implies one of 2 things. You need 2 of the 4 listed, or 1 is find but a duplicate of that 1

If it is the latter, being unemployed and without bonds (other than maybe a 401k) - I think I can only satisfy one document proof (bank statements and deposit statements)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

:time:

Since your information is scant, I will have to assume that you are speaking about I-134 affidavit . Please check out the "Guides" section at the top of the forum page, in particular, the step-by-step K-1 visa guide, paying attention to the information and FAQs about the I-134 form.

I used calendar year, and made a duplicate copy as requested. Take the instructions literally.

Check the specific requirements of the interviewing consulate, in the "Embassy Info" button at the top of the forum page.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Sorry about the lack of info, yes it is for the i-134.. My timeline is submitted (under my email address) - I have linked it to this account per the instructions but idk if it shows up for you.

Okay, so your experience - you submitted one form of proof, and that was tax documents in duplicate copy (if I understood correctly)

I submitted, as per the instructions, my evidence of income and resources (I.e., supporting documents) in duplicate. Check your interviewing consulate for specific requirements.

You need to provide your most recent tax transcript (free from the IRS), proof of income(letter from employer and recent pay stubs), though you are unemployed, so that doesn't really apply to you. If you are wanting to use assets to meet the 125% requirement, then list what assets you are using and provide documentation to prove you have the assets you claim. Listing assets is not required.

If you are using a co-sponsor(since you are unemployed), then your co-sponsor must also fill out an I-134 and meet the 125% requirement for their household size plus the foreign fiance(e). They need to provide their most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and most recent pay stub(s) to prove current income. If their income alone meets the requirement, they do not need to list assets. You can leave that part of the form blank. They also need to provide proof of being a USC or LPR with a copy of US birth certificate, naturalization, bio page of US passport or front and back copy of green card.

Even though you use the I-134 at the K-1 interview, you should read through the I-864 form instructions. The I-864 instructions provide much more information and most consulates follow the guidelines for the I-864 when dealing with K-1 visas.
