Hi guys,

I sent out my I-130 form with everything in the mail on September 16th from Egypt. I haven't heard back from them at all neither did the check get withdrawn from my bank account. I am sure I submitted everything and all papers were signed and ready to go. Did anyone face this problem? What should I do? does that mean I was rejected? Please help me out I very sad at the moment :( :( :(

USCIS:
10.24.2012 - I-130 Sent
10.29.2012 - NOA1 Received (By email)
11.01.2012 - Check cashed
12.28.2012 - Online status says "RFE"
01.28.2013 - FINALLY got the RFE letter
01.30.2013 - Sent out the RFE response
02.15.2013 - NOA2

03.11.13: NVC Received
03.25.13: Case/IIN Received
03.25.13: DS-3032 sent (Supervisor Review)
03.26.13: Expedite Request sent (via Congressman)
03.26.13: Expedite Request forwarded to Embassy in Cairo

I don't know sorry. Have you lived in Egypt with him for at least 6 months?

I will next month... I came May.

Oh My thinking is you have to be there for 6 months and than file the petition. :blink: Do you know?

thats for DCF (Direct Consular Filing) and its not available in Egypt anymore. For those who need to file their I-130 need to send it to the Chicago lockbox instead :)

Most of the time, after receiving your petition they will send you a notice of action and instruct you to make any further payment.USCIS and NVC work together in collecting your paperwork and amount due.you could contact the immigration after 30 days if you have not hootenanny any reply

NB:I am not an Immigration Attorney, All i say here is based on my personal experiences through K-1 visa process and CR1/IR1 visa process.

When you sent the package, did you add an option for tracking to see if it arrived at USCIS? I sent mine in July, and 2 days after it arrived I received an email with our receipt number so we could check the status online. I'm not sure how long it takes for the check to clear, as I paid by money order. And don't worry about being married for 6 months. You could have married last week...as long as you have your translated/authenticated marriage certificate, you're good to go! I would try contacting the USCIS and verifying that they received your package. Hope it's not lost :(
