From the Philippines it would be next to impossible for you to obtain a visitor's visa.

Sorry to say that you have to have a substantial amount of money/property to get approved for a tourist visa. Given the history of "illegals" who went hiding after getting to the States. And do you know what happens if they disapprove you?

Then your fiance applies for a K1? It will be a blackeye on your history. If you have loads of money and can prove it to the Consul go right ahead. If not, wait for a petition.

You can obtain a visa if your good to answer the question.....first move, go to any BPI branch pay for US tourist visa 160 dollar, but you will pay it in peso, it depends if how much the rate of dollar, bring your passport...then fill up the DS-160 form with 2by2 white backround to upload ur pic..after you fill up the DS-160...you can set for an interview with you...just bring requirements and your confidence.

you can give it a shot. there's nothing wrong with doing so but from personal experience, it's hard. my husband tried applying for a tourist visa 2 years ago when i was pregnant. our only purpose was to have him here when i gave birth then he'd go back to the Philippines afterwards...they didn't give him one. he tried again...still no go. they kept telling him that he had strong ties to the US but he was welcome to apply again. so we decided it was a lost cause for him to keep wasting money and decided to wait until i became a citizen so that his "strong ties" here in the US would be the same reason that he would have a better chance of coming by petition.

give it a try but make sure you have a very good reason for visiting the US and can show proof that you will be returning to the Philippines. good luck!
