Change in Phone Number of Beneficiary

Dear All - My wife who is the beneficiary has to change her cell phone number in India. Our case is completed and is pending scheduling of interview at Mumbai Consulate. I have called NVC and provided the new number. Is there anything else required?

Congrats so far in the process. It is good you informed The NVC of changes. but, your case is not at the NVC anymore. It is pending an interview in her Country so it is not complete. Call the Embassy and inform them of a new # and also re-confirm her e-mail address and it is a matter of record. Though it maynot be neccesary there are 52 cards in the deck and leaving out 1 is short handed. NVC has nothing to do with your case at this point. Call that Country with her information, Case# etc. and update your Case information to be safe. I think your OK but make the call. You'll sleep better.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried calling the consulate in Mumbai (well, at least the help desk associated with the consulate). But they were not able to look up my NVC case number in their system. Any suggestions from folks who have gone through this in India/Mumbai?
