hi everyone im little confused here on which middle i need to use after marriage... so my name when i was single was Cherry Magdadaro Mendez... and i got married my surname change to Cherry Cottrell. we are filling my Aos very soon im wondering which middle to put in my new name is it Cherry Magdadaro Cottrell or Cherry Mendez Cottrell. Hope someone can help me thank you.

Mendez should be your middle name (maiden name). So it will be Cherry Mendez Cottrell

Correct. Or you could choose to not have a middle name . Some have done that.

so, if you leave your middle name out of the papers, you won't no longer have one.

In California that's how it is, whatever name you used on the marriage certificate is now the legal name you should use going forward..

Also you need to update your name in your SS.

again, if you didn't write your name like that on the marriage certificate, that is not your name.

what is written on that paper is your FULL NAME.

If you applied under your maiden like we did. The IO changed my wife's name for the green card, her last as a middle. Once receiving the GC changed SSS and drivers license.
