Interview times at the US Embassy in London?

Dear all,

I have attended interviews at the US Embassy in London two times in the past. For some reason, my appointments were always in the early morning.

Is this the rule, or can you attend the interview in the afternoon?

I seem to recall one person of several hundred I've read on VJ who had an afternoon appointment. I remember thinking "How unusual" because they are always in the morning. Most are scheduled from 8-10 am.
