K1 application documents is "in limbo"

Hi everyone,

My application for K1, fiance visa was approved at Vermont service center on August 9th, 2012 . Afterwards, it went to national visa center and it was later forwarded to U.S. Consulate in Mumbai on August 20th. As of today, September 24th, the documents have not been entered into Mumbai embassy records. I have contacted the Department of State, U.S. Consulate in Mumbai and VFS Mumbai. No one seems to know anything about my documents. I was told by VFS Mumbai helpline to download the packet 3 information from Consulate website and forwarded the packet through email back to them. I did that. Still no response back from them.

I have noticed that people whose documents that were sent after mine have already received interview dates. What should i do? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As you get I-129F approval, the beneficiary should receive the Packet 3. Sometimes, you won't get the hard copy at your mailing home address as I did not get it at my address.

You need to download with your own by Mumbai Consulate website and download the following forms:

1.Applicant statement

2.DS 156

3.DS 230 part 1

After filling all the above forms, please courier it at following address;

U.S. Consulate, Mumbai

C-49, G-Block, Bandra Kurla Complex

Bandra East, Mumbai 400051

As you get I-129F approval, the beneficiary should receive the Packet 3. Sometimes, you won't get the hard copy at your mailing home address as I did not get it at my address.

You need to send it directly to US Consulate Office.

Please note that DS-156 and DS-156K are different forms.

They received the packet 3 documents that I send through the email.

Im more worried about the documents that were forwarded from the National Visa Center. Its been over a month and it hasnt been entered into their system.
