I have a question about these two points below I got from here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/390121-i-129f-final-check/

Assembling the I-129F Package: Checklist:

10.One passport-type photo (see specification) of the foreign fiance(e). Write the full name of the foreign fiance(e) on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance(e) name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.

11.Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

Do I need to SIGN AND DATE anything in #10 above? Is it okay if I just follow that step exactly as it says, without signing and dating anything?

Do I need to SIGN AND DATE anything in #11 above? If I make a copy of ALL pages of my US PASSPORT, do I need to sign and date ANY or ALL pages of the copies? Can I just include the copies without signing and dating anything?

THANKS! Almost done finally!

Thank you all!

For 10, per instructions, you need 1 passport photo each. Write the name on the back of the photo using pencil. You do not need sign, they just need to know which photo goes with which applicant (in case it is not obvious). VJ instructions are slightly different, but I would go by the USCIS instructions for this.

For 11, copy is fine. You need sign only supplemental sheets, not copies of documents.

I've only put our full name on each of our photos and not "Photo of..." and placed on a separate bags along with our photos together but not attached to a sheet of paper and did not sign.

11.Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship. Send only copies and not originals unless requested by USCIS. If natural-born citizen, you'll only need the copy of your Birth Certificate, valid US Passport and no need to sign. If Naturalized US Citizen, you'll need a copy of Naturalization Certificate, valid US Passport data info and/or Passport card (I have both but not required) and no need to sign.

Our application was approved even though I didn't follow #10 down to the T but when in doubt, do what it asked. Good luck!!
