Appointments go fast! Best thing is to call first thing(Manila Time)in the morning. We got about 6 weeks out when we called.

If someone drops off the schedule they'll offer the slot to the next caller. If you're in a hurry, schedule a time but call back on a slow day for the Embassy, Tuesday or Wed. and ask if they have a sooner one. This strategy may yield a nearer interview. Best of luck!!

Things have been crazy at the embassy since they were closed because of flooding, it seems they still haven't caught up.

I see you just go your NOA2...

For the NVC:

Check on your embassy case number:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

Press 5 for an operator

I just made appointment monday Sept 17 and the soonest appointment i was able to get that day was Oct 19 2012. There were many dates available in November also. I didnt try to keep refreshing the schedule to see if a sooner appointment would come up. I just accepted Oct 19 on first attempt.

You can also go online and look at appointment schedule. When I looked at the website at the end of August, there was no available appointments for September and October. I kept refreshing my computer every chance I had for nearly 2 days and suddenly, a September 4 and a September 7 appointment slots were open. I quickly jumped on the September 7 time slot and she was approved.

So keep checking the website every hour that you are awake and you will be surprised that you can get a even a late September or early October date.

Make sure she has all her documents from you such as the NOA2 copy, the I-134 and other documents. That way you are ready to jump on any appointment openings.

We are currently awaiting our NVC notification so it's still a bit early to set an appointment but I want to be as prepared as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!
