How long it normally takes to get the passport after visa was approved?

I believe its 3 working days for Mumbai VFS pick up and 5 working days to be picked up from your state's VFS center. Prior to this you can track your visa status by entering passport number at https://www.vfs-usa....urPassport.aspx.

Hope this helps!

Interview was on 11th of OCT Pick up in Jalandhar (Punjab)

Thanks sravan

Hi Tycoon, any change with visa status? I think it should be done by today or tomorrow latest so it can reach in Jalandhar VFS location by Wednesday or no later than 18th Thursday. I had some doubts............

  1. So is your USTRAVELDOCS site showing a visa status update?
  2. Before your interview, did this site show your assigned visa interview date on your profile?

I was wondering if other than registering a visa pick up location and printing the confirmation page, what else the site is for????? please advise

Passport is ready for pickup as of today. US travel.docs website had no option Available to track your passport but i tracked after i spoke to travel.docs folks.

Please send email to <passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com>. Subject line and body only thing you would write is Passport number then hit send. within five minutes you will know where your passport at.

It did not show visa interview date for Immigrant visa. IF you forgot to register then no worries because at the counslate they will tell you to register on the spot if you did not do it after completing your interview. Too easy.

I did not get no confirmation page. I was concerned but if you had fill all the info you are good to go because they would able to locate you via email you have entered during your registration.

I was very concerned like you because i did not receive confirmation page. I made almost million call to travel.docs but gave up because they do not know what they are doing.

if you or any other VJ member have any question about my spouse Experiance of CR1 interview in New Delhi Embassy then PM me. I will try to help you out as other VJ member help me.

Thanks VJ :)

New Update

My spouse picked up the passport for Jalandher. I was surprised what she told me.

She said Pick up location clerk open the packet pull out the passport and hand over to my wife and reseal the packet and told my wife not to open it. WTH. She said they were doing it to everybody.

It supposed be like that?

I think there is no problem in that as she will need the passport handy while travelling.
