The medical is usually first. It is first come first served. Printout a copy of the interview appointment and make sure you bring it.

medical comes first of course, you should schedule your wife's medical 2-3 weeks before her interview date to lessen the hassle

Per the Embassy Letter on page 5 http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_005.pdf

It is important to complete your medical examination before you come to the Embassy for your visa interview. Otherwise, your visa application may be refused or you may be asked to return for another appointment. The medical examination results are delivered directly to the Embassy.

Good luck!

No appointment necessary for medical exam at St Luke's and it's a First-Come, First-Served basis.

For interview at the USEM, you'll need to bring the Interview Confirmation you've received when you've set the appointment (along with other required forms during the interview)

I don't remember that being a required process after she already have scheduled interview but then again you're applying for IR1 and I'm K1. Is there any difference? Did she setup the appointment online or called the local #?

So who setup the scheduled interview then, USEM does the scheduling?

I meant to say, I don't know if there's a difference in setting up the interview with K1 and IR1 application. For K1 we schedule ourselves for an interview and don't need to call USEM after we got a date already.

Not necessary to call USEM. NVC already set the interview date for her.

For the medical exam, she has to finish it before her interview. No appointments needed for the medicals, but she can pre-register online to cut the waiting time once she's there: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Medical exam from St. Luke's Extension Clinic (SLEC) comes first before the interview. No appointments. It's on a first-come, first-serve basis (walk-in applicants). On the clinic's website, the applicants can opt to do the online registration to save time on filing up registration forms on the day of the medical exam. This online registration will be presented to the guard upon entering the clinic.

K1 applicants set their own interviews (available slots are on the USEM website) while CR1/IR1 applicants or spouses of US Citizens will need to wait for the NVC to assign them their interview dates/appointments. No need to call the embassy since the appointment letter is pretty straightforward (gives you day, time, list of documents submitted in the NVC and what documents needed to bring to the interview). Applicants just need to be there on their appointment date along with their documents. Further documents can be asked by the Consuls during interviews (please feel free to browse through visa journey).

Best of luck! =)

My husband and I just went through the interview process Friday and we brought the medical exam results with us to the interview.

Per the Embassy Letter on page 5 http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_005.pdf
