I have my US citizenship interview on Sept. 11, 2012 7:15AM at Sacramento, CA office. The notice tells me to allot 2 hours for the interview. As I was browsing today, I saw an article in KCRA saying something that the interview and oath taking ceremony is being done on the same day to save budget. I was wondering if anybody have had this experience. I only took half-day off at work, so my question is that does the oath ceremony happens right after interview or in the afternoon? Were you allowed to bring a camera or take a picture during the oath taking ceremony? I understand it's sort of a private oath taking ceremony, but it still is a momentous event nonetheless (kinda reminds me of graduating). Any tips on the interview itself?

some times after the interview at different centers you are asked if you want your oath ceremony the same day, most times they wait until there is enough people hundreds at a time, yes bring your camera your friends, family.look nice you are given a little us flag every one is asked to raise your right hand and pledge to the united states, they will tell you how many people are here like 22 from canada, 12 from colombia ,5 from england and so on, and called up to receive your naturalization certificate, every one is excited and happy hugging each other, taking pictures,-dont forget you will be asked to surrender your green card not needed any more, there will be people giving you application for the us passport, and the voter res, congratulations.
