I-134 or I-864 for K1 visa interview?

My Jamaican fiancé received packet #4. The instruction checklist attached to the interview letter requested all the normal forms for a K1 visa applicant, except for the Affidavit of Support. I am under the impression that for K1 visa interviews the beneficiary needs the petitioner to submit to him/her an 1-134, which is what I have already given my fiancé. However the checklist we received asks for I-864. I looked up this form and it sounds as if it is intended for actual relatives, which we are not relatives until married. I have also read posts saying I-864 is required for AOS after marriage. Has anyone been required to submit the I-864 instead of the I-134? Or does this sound like the embassy sent the wrong checklist to my fiancé? Wondering if I should send the I-864 just to be safe but I can't send anything by mail until Tuesday and our interview will be only 16 days after that so I'm not sure my fiancé would receive it in time. I have emailed the embassy asking to clarify but may not here anything from them until midweek.

Thanks!

My fiance is from Jamaica too and his checklist asks for the I-134 form. I think you'll be fine with that form and the supporting documents.

Thank you...now I'm just wondering if the checklist is wrong in other ways...but so far it seems to otherwise match checklists I've seen other people in Jamaica receive.

You can always look at the Embassy's website and see what they say there.

Also, if you are truly concerned, you can email/call them and let them know what you received and you want to verify the contents because of the possible error...

Good luck...
