Walk in to fill out packet 3 and schedule interview???

My fiancee went to the embassy yesterday bc they said that he could go in to pick up the packet 3, well normal services were closed because it is a holiday in Trinidad, but the lady at the desk told him that all he had to do, was come in, fill out a form, and then schedule an appointment for an interview ... doesn't this sound a bit strange???? Anyone else have something similar like this happen??

This may be for those individuals who are applying for a Visa other than K1 or K3.

It could be something unique to your Consular Section; they all do things differently.

It does not sound strange to me. Our embassy , Senegal , emails instructions out , there is no

packet 3 or 4.

After the forms are filled out my fiance can call the embassy at any time to make

an appointment for the interview ( if we ever get out o the NVC hole ).

My fiance lives in Sierra Leone and has to fly to Senegal for the interview.

Therefore it would be unreasonable if he had to come just to pick up a packet.

Each embassy does things a little different, especially those who are designated

for several countries or 'homeless' countries i.e. countries without embassies for K

visas in my case.
