221G From Manila

I finally found an experience as mine and my wifes. She had her interview July 5th, 2012. The officer asked maybe 5 questions and had her fill out the courier sheet and where to send her visa, they also kept her passport. They handed her that 221(g) beast paper requesting further documents of I-864A. We sent it in in 1 week as the officer said "ok everything is fine, just send us the needed document" Then they called her and said send it in asap. It was sent that next week and here we are end of August almost 2 months and no word, nothing. I wish i could tell you we got it and are done. BUT, have you gotten yours yet?

To all VJ friends and members, I just want to share all of you about my case, my interview is on Feb. 01, it is pretty fine the consular question and I answer all his question but he focus to my AOS. He ask me addt'l AOS of my husband step dad because my husband Mom and his sted dad are filing same income tax return so he required me my husband step dad I-864A form only, then he gave 221 (g) letter. The embassy gave me further instruction how to sent the addt'l docs. together my passport its via 2GO. I sent the addt'l docs. on Feb. 14. together my passport in 2GO and got text message from 2GO on Feb. 15 that Embassy Manila received my docs. Did anyone here in Phils. got same problem like mine that consular officer issued 221 (g)? And how long it takes to get your visa on hand?

I hope somebody here same problem like mine and kidly share.

Were on the same boat,Our interview was last July 6 2012 ,the consul said that we are all approved but then need to submit a form I864 with original signiture of my husband and a joint sponsor form I864 with original signiture and a w2 year 2011,we already submit it last july 16 2012 ,i keep calling the embassy but they still gave us the same answer it still on review.My husband told me to keep praying and keep holding ,i know everything happen for a reason.But until when ?6 weeks is too long my two kids mises their dad badly

Yeah it worries me that this process can take weeks, months I even read years, but really? I mean I wasnt told she was denied, they kept her passport and said everything is all fine. If there was a denial, hands down no, heres your stuff try again later. Lets just join hands together and keep hoping soon. Cheers.

We are all done, Visa arrived today. Hwew, what a long haul.

We got her Visa today from the courier. Your timeframe is right by ours so you should expect to receive yours very soon. July 5th - Sept 6th
