hello everyone

I would like to ask if anyone here has the same case as mine. My US army husband wanted me to fax him a government issued photo ID of me ( like my passport ) for me to enter in a military program called "DEERS" so he can get paid of being married to me.

He told me I need to certify that ID and fax it to him. But he said I need to go to the US embassy for them to certify it but the US embassy said since Im not a US citizen, I have to certify it to my own Philippine embassy. So, are they right? Im going to get that red ribbon thing and certify it at Philippine embassy?

And what are the things to be needed when doing this? I will just bring my marriage certificate and my passport? That's all? ...Please help..

Thankssss

What your husband need in order for him to enroll you in DEERS is your:

1. Marriage Certificate (From NSO Philippines)

2. Certified copy of your passport. If this is a Philippine passport, you need to go to the Dept of Foreign Affairs with your Philippine passport and obtain a certified copy (with the red ribbon, etc.)

Now if your in the US already and you're not together with him as he's in deployment, etc., you need to go to the nearest Phiippine Consulate to have all these done.

Been there done that three months ago..
