questions after I 130 approval

Hello All,

My I 130 for my foreign spouse has been approved last week and I have some questons about NVC process. I aksi webt through the NVC shortcut documents.

1)I called NVC with the uscic reciept#, they looked up in the computer and told me they just got my case last week (7 days)..and it has not been entered in the system yet.

Does this mean they wont have NVC # untill they enter this on their system?

2) Regarding DS 230, Once i become a choice of agent, i can submit this form after i get this form (filled with her signature) from my spouse correct? Does she have to wait for the DS 230 form to be mailed out to her or no need to wait?

For 1. keep calling everyday until you get the number. Have the DS 3230 email ready to send from the beneficiaries email.

2. from all i have read there is no need to wait, only wait till you can print the cover sheet and submit with all the supporting/required documents. Also, I am pretty sure that the 230 needs to be signed by the beneficiary (only part 1).

Again, Please update/create you timeline, this will help the entire site with time estimation across service centers and NVC.
