Hi Everyone,

I have a question for you all. I received an RFE stating I hadn't supplied enough supporting evidence of my fiance and I having met. The information in the RFE states {submit evidence that you and your fiance have met each other in person at some time during the 2 year period prior to your having filed your petition. Evidence should include, but is not limited to} and then they list 5 or 6 different items such as photos, affidavits, photocopies of passport stamps, copies of travel documents etc. Now what I need to know is this...the one particular line that says {evidence should include, but is not limited to}...does this mean they want the entire list? I know it would be better to give them everything on that list however the simple truth is that there are some parts I cannot supply. For example, when he came into the US from Canada with his passport, they didn't put a stamp in it either coming in or leaving. And we never took a single photo together. I know this will sound stupid but we honestly never even thought about it. It wasn't until the day he left to go home that I started researching Immigration do's and dont's and realized we should have taken some photos, but by then he was already 600 miles away.

I have many friends and family members who met him while he was here and every one of them is willing to write sworn affidavits. Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also, my fiance traveled here by Greyhound bus and there was a screw up in the system so when he left here, he only had the tickets he would need to get on each bus and each of those tickets were promptly confiscated by the driver every time he changed buses. Thus by the time he got home, he had nothing left to show he had been here. He went to the Greyhound station where he originally purchased the ticket to see if he could get a copy of the ticket or the itinerary and was told by the person at the front counter that they do not keep records on passengers (I don't know how this could be. Seems to me they would need them for legal purposes)...please help and thank you so much!!!

It means you can send more than is listed. The "list" are suggestions of items they look for. You can add more. Generally if you get an RFE and they ask for 6 itmes I would send 11 or 12. You have an RFE, that means whatever you sent was not good enough. Pile it on. Next step is a denial and you start over. They do not send you another RFE for the same thing.

No pictures? No receipts of things purchased by either one you in the other's country? Bank statements showing withdrawals in a foreign currency? Otherwise you can have people write letters, sign them and have them notorized that saw you together. Family, friends..etc.

But you should probably get on the no pictures thing. You're going to need them when you adjust status or its going to be REALLY tough to get approved.
