Hello Everyone!

I am a US citizen and filed the I-130 for my husband in India, on 4/25/12. A couple weeks later I received a letter stating that the Vermont Service Center has received the paperwork and the case is in progress. I also received my case number on this letter. After this I have been checking the status online at the USCIS site regularly. Unfortunately, It has been saying "Initial review" for almost 4 months now! Anyone have any information as to what or who I can contact to speed the process up or to get more details for this? I called the customer service number for USCIS and got an automated message stating the same thing the website is saying.

Any information or feedback anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!!

We got approved through california at the end of july, but if you look on the web site it stills says we are in the Initial review when actually we have been approved for over a month now... it will come when you least think it will, it took us 6 months to the day to get approved... hang in there it will happen sooner than you think...
