That would be called "pro-choice".. The viewpoint you expressed fits very nicely with that movement. Neither side celebrates abortions or is trying to talk people into them. The debate is about who has the final say: society or the woman. If you go to a pro-life rally you will find nobody shares your views on leaving it up to the woman to decide.. The pro-choice people on the other hand would give you a big thumbs up and maybe a hug, so go on over and say hello.

The names could be better.. Maybe "pro-legalization" and "anti-legalization"

Oh I don't know about all that...... Most people feel a woman DOES have the right to choose, except in those cases of Rape, which is why many will concede a right to an abortion then.

I assuming you meant "DOES NOT" have the right to choose (as it makes no sense otherwise).. But that's not what he said.. He said hat he was very pro-life.. But while he personally believes its wrong he would not want to force that opinion on others and would leave the decision to them.. That seems closer to the pro-choice camp to me.

You're assuming that they care about that child once it's born. That's a false assumption.

Another silly POV.

Dude you know the talking points don't work over here.

1. HAve you any idea how many Orphanages are run by pro life people I bet you have one right by tampa... want me to check? How many orphanages are the abortionists supporting... or do they only support "Choice" when it brings them a customer?

2. Why would I be required to care for every abused child in my country before I can speak against child abuse?

3. Me supporting YOUR right to life does not obligate me to support your life, if just so happens that pro-lifers do.

4. This whole line of argument is retarded as we have people going to Nigeria and China to even find unwanted babies.

No I think I typed it correctly (though I often mis-type) in that most people feel a woman has the RIGHT to choose by her actions whether she will have a baby...... except in the case of rape.

I don't think there's any sane person out there who would demand that a rape victim abort a fetus that she wanted to take to term.

ah sorry.. I see what you said.. So to use the words of the pro-lifers: it is OK to murder the baby if the mother became pregnant through no fault of her own..

... and that is NOT hypocritical...

That's the dilemma they're facing. Not granting the common sense exceptions gets them in hot water with an overwhelming majority of Americans. Granting the exceptions robs their argument of it's foundation. It's fcuked up.

Now don't be such an absolutist.

:P

Life is sometimes presented with deep conflicting situations, in an emergency setting often time a doctor might have to choose between patients to save ... not that both are not worthy but this situation is such that attention must direct resources to one over the other.

When life rescue squads work, they often must take on over the other.

IN war, do you bomb this target or that and reluctantly innocent people will be killed.

Abortion today is nothing like that.

99% of the time someone doing something will will have a vary possible outcome.... create another life and then they just want to back up.

It's like the smoker getting lung cancer and acting shocked.

Rape... saving the life of the mother.... are completely different cases.

I respect people who are prolife all the way down the line, they take this position out of principles.

I consider myself pro=life but I am not an absolutist on the idea because rare, unavoidable events happen almost always not of our making .......which allow me to say

Ahhh, we can't take any more in the lifeboat sorry dude.

Oh listen to MR. Partial Birth abortion talking.

So you condone what you consider murder in certain situations. Groovy.

Absolutely why do you think I own a gun?

It isn't. The same people that want to ban abortion are busy getting rid of anything that society could do to help kids stand a chance. You guys just want them born. Then, they're on their own. That's the reality.

The next time Dems will care about you will be a desperate day in NOV 2012.
