The beneficiary needs police certificates for all places lived since age 16. Some consulates differ in the duration they are expecting though. For example, Filipinos need police certificates for all countries lived in for 6 months or more, but I know some consulates only require for a residence of 12 months or more. You will need to refer to your consulate for the specifics.

me too i live in DR my fiance filed the K1 visa in haiti . you need the certificate police of dominican republic ,beacuse for now the Embassy of Haiti does not accept the haitian certificate police because they are false.

Can you please explain in further detail? Regardless of where one is from, police certificates are needed for all countries the beneficiary has resided in. This is a US Department of State requirement. Are you saying Haitians or foreigners that resided in Haiti can't obtain a police certificate?

EDIT: I see what you mean now. I did find that police certificates in Haiti are unavailable.

I'm really confused because in another recent thread, it was recommended that police certificates be obtained by others going through the embassy in Haiti. And I believe one person mentioned that the embassy suggested to her fiance that he obtain the police record. So what's the deal? I don't want to send my fiance on a wild goose chase. Thanks!

The link I provided from US Department of State lists the expected documents and states that police certificates in Haiti are unavailable. You might want to contact the embassy directly and inquire what they expect.
