We've had over 160 years to prove him wrong and nothing has. His discovery has stood the test of time. He did not know the continents moved (not known until the 1960s), he did not know about genetics, fossil dating, huge gaps in the fossil record that are now filled, little to nothing on embryology, and the many ancestral humans that have been discovered. Each new field only further confirms evolution to be an undeniable fact.
