I am still waiting on AOS. Almost at the ten month mark but that's another story. I came here on a k1 visa August 2 2011 and filed my taxes but did not fill out any "exiting Canada" form. Didn't even know about it! My question is do I wait until getting my Green Card before sending in this form or should have I done that when I actually left Canada? Can this stuff get any more confusing???

You should have notified them that you were leaving because you are no longer eligible to receive the HST/GST credit. Not sure what to do if you didn't file your exit taxes in the proper year, I'm sure someone else can provide more info!

I have definitely still been getting my gst checks! Guess I just call Canada revenue and tell them I owe some money? I don't understand why we aren't eligible for them though.

You aren't eligible because you are no longer a resident of Canada. Yes they will ask for their money back. It would be wise to repay them as soon as possible.

All those types of payments (HST/ CCTB etc...) are based on when you ceased to be a resident. You will owe money, don't worry they will want to collect....a few of us have had trouble getting them to stop paying us and then we've had to repay.
