Planning A Wedding While Waiting for K-1 Visa to Be Approved

Hello VJers!

SO, just out of complete curiosity, how have people who filed an I-129f for a K-1 visa planned a wedding? Did most people just go to their local city hall? Has anyone had a formal one with the ceremony, reception, etc.? How about adding in the fiance's religion/culture?

My fiance is from Saudi Arabia, we will be having a nikah ceremony here as well as a Western one, but are a little nervous about being able to pull it off in the 90 day window.

Anyone that can share their wedding planning experience (if any), especially if it was interfaith, would be greatly appreciated!

I will also gladly respond to any personal messages on this topic sent to me.

Thank you so much!

After my fiancé got here, we married at the mosque where he attends. We didn't plan our wedding ahead or make any type of arrangements until we were sure of his visa approval.

Best wishes

I waited for the approval as well. Its rather to difficult to determine a wedding date under these processes. We went to city hall after his arrival and are planning a marraige celebration in the near future.
