Hello all,

I am waiting on my Noa2 which should arrive at the end of August.

However in my research I am a little concerned about the affidavit of support.

I sold my business a couple years ago and do not have a regular job, but I do have income from rental properties which totals around $23000 per year.

I have two rental properties that are paid for in addition to at least $50000 in savings.

My question is, will this be sufficient to satisfy the affidavits requirements?

Anything you can help me with would be greatly appreciated.

I also want to add that I have a child that I pay child support for. I assume she will be included as the third person I will be responsible for?

Yes, your child is counted and you will need enough for a household of 3: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

You need to bring documentation that proves your income, and the savings. Your income is only slightly short of the requirement for 3, so your savings can be used to offset the amount you come up short. Assets are calculated at 3 times the shortcoming, so your $50k should have no problem covering $862 x 3 = $2586.
