Sending my package, please review my list

For Express Mail and courier services, the address you should be sending your concurrent I-485 and I-130 filing is:

I know, but instruction also says

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

and I am thinking use U.S. Postal xpress service and they deliver it to P O box.

unless I am mistaken, you are using Express Mail (a USPS service but still EXPRESS MAIL) .. and the instructions clearly say Express Mail and courier services go to the Dearborn address. All other USPS deliveries (First Class, Priority Mail) will go to the address you have posted.

please do not ignore the rest of the instructions just because you see "USPS" in the first sentence.

Actually, USPS will deliver to a PO box, unlike Fedex or other services. That's why you can use the lockbox for USPS deliveries.

I recommend USPS priority mail. It's not too expensive and you get the ability to track it.

There are courier services called express mail, they don't necessarily mean USPS express mail. They provide the physical address for services that don't deliver to PO boxes. This subject comes up a lot in the forum, so a search would show lots of people who sent their USPS express mail packet to either address successfully.

Personally, I went with using USPS and sending to the Lockbox because I figured that it was more set up to handle large volumes of mail, and less chance of getting lost. Maybe that's just a silly idea, but hey...my stuff didn't get lost!

Mailing it to the right office depends on where you live. It tells you in the 130 instructions.

I-130 package include:

Copy of petitioner birth certificate ,

Copy of petitioner passport, Naturalization Certificate, SSN and State ID

Do birth certificate required?, i think passport copy will do. If born outside of US??

Naturalization Certificate, SSN ? - Not needed specially SSN, Passport copy is there.

IRS Transcript for tax year 2010 and 2009

Just Tax Transcripts are sufficient, i don't think you need to provide anything like W2 or 1099

(Please anybody chime in if thats not correct)

I-693: Sealed envelope containing medical reports from civil surgeon.

Did you mention anything on the envelope to indicate that its I-693?

Yeah doctor mentioned it after sealing it.

I've seen it recommended to send copies of every page, even if blank. I sent only the biographical page for my husband, and had no issues. I just couldn't see sending copies of all the blank pages.

Of course if there's an I-94 in there, you need to send a copy of that.

In my case, my wife is income sufficient so not using any co-sponsor.

Still not sure, whether for income proof for I-864 following are sufficient?

- 6 months pay stub

- Recent employer verification letter indicating role, annual income etc

- Tax Transcripts from IRS for last 3 years

Do she need to provide W2 and 1099 also?

Sent my package today ,through USPS priority mail requesting Certified mail receipt, to USCIS Chicago lockbox po box address. Now the wait game begins.
