I found this info from this website: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter14-16.html

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has prepared a form for the petitioner to fill out, called Form I-864. It's available for free download on the USCIS website. In fact, USCIS offers two versions of this form: the standard I-864, and a shorter I-864EZ, for use by petitioners who are sponsoring only one person on the Form I-130 petition and using only a salary or pension as income (no assets and so forth), with that income shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by an employer(s) or former employer(s).

The i-864ez looks less complicated and more appropriate for my case because our co-sponsor is my US fiance's dad and his income is more than above the poverty line for his household size. Has anyone here used the i-864ez form instead of the standard i-864? Will it be better to use the ez form? Your opinions are much appreciated.

Another question - does the co-sponsor need to fill out both the i-134 and i-864? Does my US fiance need to fill out just the i-134 or both?

Thanks in advance!

Okay, I just realized that website was talking about using the i-864ez for an i-130 petition. So not applicable for my case since we are under the i-129F. :bonk:

So could anyone pls help me answer my other question? Should both my US fiance and co-sponsor fill out BOTH the i-134 and i-864?

Thanks again! :)

K visa uses the I-134 form. Petitioner and joint sponsor would each complete the I-134 and include all required documentation.
