We have joint sponsor which she uses her household member to meet the income.

Question: On 1-864 Part 1, which the joint sponsor has to choose? only joint sponsor or first or second of two joint sponsors?

Thanks everyone.

Only joint sponsor.

hi pushbrk, thanks for the answer.

I have follow up question. My joint sponsor petitioned her husband before. How can I count sponsor's household size? I know do not count anyone twice. Can I enter 1 in for spouse or 1 for if you have sponsored any other persons on an I-864?

Only joint sponsor.

If the previously sponsored person is the current spouse, then it isn't an "other person".

Of course. The tax return will show they are married filing jointly, correct?

and also about the Citizenship/Residency of joint sponsor

US citizen or US national (for joint sponosors only)

I am confused with that question in 1-864

I am very sorry for these questions.

I don't see a question there. Please try again.

Yes they are married and they filed jointly. I am just wondering why the joint sponsor did not acquire the surname of her husband.

the question is on part4 information on the sponsor. then number 19.

19. citizenship/residency

I am US Citizen

I am US national ( for joint sponsors only)

I am a lawful permanent resident. my alien register number is A-____________

I am confused between us citizen or us national

Of course. The tax return will show they are married filing jointly, correct?

I don't see a question there. Please try again.

If a citizen, answer citizen. If a permanent resident enter the A number.

To understand what a US National would be, Google is your friend. http://travel.state.gov/law/citizenship/citizenship_781.html

I got confused with the work (for joint sponsors only) since the joint sponsor will fill out the form,

Thanks for always helping me.
