My USC wife is filing AOS for myself and my daughter(all in USA).

I have few questions regarding I-864:

a. Whether she need to file two I-864s, one for me(with required docs), one for step daughter(with required docs)?

b. How to answer q8: I am sponsoring the principal applicant9myself)?

c. How to answer q9: I am sponsoring the following persons immigrating at the same time or within 6 months...

d. As proof of income of petitioner following are sufficient?:

- letter from employer indicating annual salary, role, employer address/phone

- Last 6 months pay stubs

- Last 3 years tax transcripts

e. We received the tax transcripts from IRS for the last 3 years. Do we need anything else like W2 or 1099 etc or just tax transcripts from IRS are sufficient?

f. She was not making enough in earlier years. She got better job last november after which she is

easily above 125% of poverty line. She has household of four(she+myself & my 2 kids, though filing AOS for just one as other was born here).

Appreciate your help VJers :help:

Hi Everyone, I have had of this site and the beautiful ppl n d good help y'all give to ppl. Well I have an i864 related question so I decided to post it in this forum. I got married with my husband who is on f1 visa, 6months ago and we r still together n happily. we wr not able to file for him since then because we have been through lots of financial problems. Now we gat enough money, I wanna petition him before the money goes away:). But, we just moved to a new location and I didn't get a job get, I have my previous year tax returns, I didn't make enough over d years but his cousin agreed to co-sponsor him (my husband).

But my question is:-

1. Can we go ahead and file even without me having a job at current since his cousin is co-sponsoring him?

2. His cousin signed the i864 3months ago, does he ( the co-sponsor) need to sign a new form?

I look forward to your sincere advice. Thanks

Hi VJers...

Could you please help shranjan84 and me?

Thanks for your help :help:

I read something, If your co sponsor file his tax along with his/her spouse , then you also suppose to attach i864a for spouse or attach evidence that co sponsor income is enough like employer's letter , w2 an 1099 in some case.( read instruction for 1864A)

so being on safer side add these

- letter from employer indicating annual salary, role, employer address/phone

- Last 6 months pay stubs

- Last 3 years tax transcripts and w2
