Ironic system just venting

two years ago, my boyfriend who happens to be my fiance now Asked me to get a tourist visa since I was one of the bridesmaids in her sisters wedding. back then I didnt know what to answer to consul questions but all i know was that I am telling the truth. I told them that I was currently enrolled in med schl, and will just go to america just for 10 days just so I can attend the wedding. They denied me. it wasnt enough. after a week I rescheduled another interview, this time holding my boyfriends passport. they denied me again. before I left I ask why, the american lady told me the mere fact that your boyfriend is an american citizen makes us more suspicious that youre not coming back.

now here I am again applied for a K1. I received an rfe last monday and is asking for further proof of evidence that we have met for the past 2 years.

cmon I was denied before because of the fact that my bf is a USC now more proof that we really met?

uggghhh. just sharing and venting what an ironical feeling i got.

Maybe thats normal.. Your rfe is not related to your denial before as a tourist visa. I apply student visa before and denied its because of i have usc bf.. But now waiting for our noa2 for more than 5 months.. We dont receieve rfe yet or maybe we dont really have rfe.. Its just the reason of your denial before is you have strong reason to stay in the u.s. And not coming back from your home country..tho we know you are just there for wedding but they always think ahead:) You will be ok.. ) actually waiting without hearing nothing is more frustrated than having rfe coz it means they are looking on your case.. have a great day

I don't think the "tourist" and "immigration" sides talk...as for the tourist visa it is all taken care of at the Embassy in Manila. As far as the K-1 visa is concerned...did you send proof that you guys have met in person within the last 2 years? All you need is copies of his passport stamps and a couple pictures together.

Be strong sis Well maybe this is just God's way or test for you to be more stronger.I know life aint that fair, sometimes we experienced denials but not all the time.Who knows after you response for that RFE, your petiton will get approved na and besides you dont have to be frustrated about it,I will pray for your petiton to get approved soon as well as mine too :)We filipina's dont just accept defeat, we must try to stay strong so cheer up dont get upset,instead pray for it that there would be no problem again..

I know its just ironic. Now that we are applying for the K1 whic is legalizing our stay in us and still they make it hard for us. I know this journey is tiring. we're just keeping the faith. god bless us! I hope ur NOA2 would come ?

that was my big mistake. I sent out only the first page of his passport. with all our pcitures. im actually waiting for the hard copy of the rfe. btw should I send the actual rfe notice together with my rfe reply? or should I just do like a cover letter? thank you! ?

I know this too shall pass. yeah and after all the waiting I know that it would be worth it. and by the way, to share you my secret I have been doing my novena to st jude. and yes I got an answer on my prayer and thats the rfe I asked him to just give me an rfe if its an rfe or if it is approve. he really works on miracles ?

hey sis,Im thankful you already shared your secret and yes we all know that most of d filipinas or should I say we filipinas are very faithful to God,I am also doing that kind of novena thing and yes I also believe in miracles.I hope yours papers would be fine and must approved soon Dont worry we will get through of this.Just be patient

That was our big mistake also. She applied for her tourist visa first and mentioned me on the paperwork. Denied 2X. Seriously, you try to be honest and they deny you. I hear people just straight up lie and go to an agency and say theyre going sightseeing in New York and they get a visa.

Now we are waiting this looooong process in Vermont for being honest.

Lesson learn, when applying for a tourist visa, never say shes coming to visit a guy or she wil get denied automatically.
