Sending in Additional Evidence after filing (not in response to RFE)

Has anyone sent in additional evidence after filing an I-751 and receiving the NOA1? The NOA1 itself has language saying that you should do this if you feel you haven't submitted enough stuff in the original packet.

Primarily, I am curious to know if USCIS is organized enough to actually unite the second envelope you send with your original file? I realize that there is no way of directly knowing if they have a good system for this but if someone got an RFE, for example, asking for things that were submitted in the second packet then we can surmise that they don't have a good system here.

Please share your experience.

I am thinking of sending in a 2011 tax return transcript. The IRS didn't have the transcript ready when I filed so I sent in the 1040 which because we e-filed doesn't have signatures and so the only sheet with our signatures is the authorization to our CPA to file electronically which in CA is called form e-8879 which we also did send in.

Thanks.

I would say wait and see if they send an RFE...simply because u may send the additional info, and they still send out an RFE. I've seen this happen and then when they do this you would have to resend those same docs. Perfect waste of time and money.
