Here are the shuttles that are allowed to be in the El Paso airport. Has anyone heard of any of these companies and can recommend one. The one called Juarez/El Paso Shuttle Service said he wouldn't take me after dark because he doesn't want to get killed. I am so nervous now. I think I am going to call the consulate to see if they recommend me going or not.

Genny

I hope so, but even if it isn't Roberto is not coming to the US until Oct 30th. He is returning to Merida after he is in Juarez. I am going to Juarez to be there on the medical and interview days and then I have to come back home. He will wait in Juarez until he gets the visa.

I will post updates while we are there. Roberto found a taxi that will take him from Juarez to El paso to get me at the airport. Then we can ride back to Juarez together the night I get there. I feel a lot better about that. The only little problem we can foresee is if they give him trouble about crossing. He has a B1/B2 visa so it shouldn't be a problem. But who knows?

Everything will be fine, Genny.

Let me know how the travel goes for you and who you end up using. We'll hopefully be in the same situation soon.

We finally got ours mailed back today. (1 day to spare). Hopefully, we'll hear something soon too. They said it will take about two weeks. We'll see....

Roberto asked Amigo Shuttle (915-355-1739) to come get him in Juarez at the Holiday Inn and then he will go with the driver to get me in El Paso.

Hello my friends..just a quick update. I called the NVC today and the packet was sent yesterday. HOORAY! When I got home tonight there was a message on my machine from my congresswoman (she left the message this morning) saying that she heard back from Juarez that the package was sent and that she will be sending me a letter. Not sure what that will be about, but I'm sure it's the email or something! HOORAY I am very excited! Finally some good news. I thought I was going to be waiting forever...it was in Juarez for 5 weeks before they sent something. So all in all not too shabby I guess. Now the planning on when I will be in Juarez.

Sandi,

Congrats!!!! When do you plan on going to Juarez?

Thanks! Trying to coordinate the time off at work. Ideally, the week of 18th of October, but I don't think that will happen. We are looking at the first week of November. I know the consulate will be closed that first Monday, but I think it will be okay.
