Hello

My papers was received by consulate on Monday July 16. How long does it take for them to respond? I just wonder if I should try call them. I did e-mail but there was no answer.

The beneficiary will be receiving an e-mail shortly. You may find that the interview date (Tuesdays only for K-1) will be in a couple of weeks which may not be enough time for you to get the medical done. That was our case and we had to reschedule. Strange that they have not responded--what e-mail address did you use (was it usakz@staate.gov) ? When did you send the e-mail? If it was Monday then your e-mail arrived Tuesday during the day and they are very busy, but you should have received a reply by now as they were very prompt in answering me. Could be Astana is doing more of the e-mail stuff and they are not as efficient as Almaty. If nothing arrives this week call them Monday morning and see what is going on--do you have the case number as yo will need that when calling them?

Good luck,

Dave

My fiancee gonna call tomorrow to see what is going on. On all forms that I filled there was no place for her e-mail address. However I put my e-mail address on I-129F.

I did write to Almaty I send to 3 e-mail addresses as I was not sure witch one is correct. ConsularAlmaty@state.gov; USAKZ@state.gov; info@usembassy.kz

I sended on Tuesday. So they receive it on Wed and tomorrow will be Friday for them. I thought they will send packet 3 by now... I guess I will talk to my fiance to call and do medical this or next week.

Do you know if NVC and NOA2 copy will be enough as evidence to take a medical? They say that they need invitation letter b4 you can do medical.

I looked back on our timeline and e-mails from the consulate and it took about 2 weeks for them to send on the packet--they will e-mail both parties if they have supplied an e-mail address so you should at least get a copy. She will need the acual interview letter to do the mdeical. That is what got us as her results would be available after 7 days and she could not get her results before the interview.

Good luck,

Dave

They send me APPOINTMENT LETTER1.doc

This office is ready to begin final processing of the immigrant visa applicant(s) named below in this case. We have scheduled an appointment for a visa interview in the Immigrant Visa section on the date printed below. This letter must be presented upon your arrival at this office on the appointment date.

Please see the enclosed information for further instruction about the medical examination required for all intending immigrants. Be sure to read all of the enclosed information and follow the instructions very carefully. When communicating with this office either by telephone or letter, please provide your name and case number exactly as shown in this letter.

Sincerely

Chief, Immigrant Visa Branch

They also send K1-4 packet.zip I wonder if it's packet 4 and they do not send packet 3.

I am gonna update page about Kazakhstan consulate as some stuff changed like price for medical. It would be better if we could add attachments there. The information at http://kazakhstan.usembassy.gov/iv_medical_exam.html is incorrect for IMC clinic. The phone number is different.
