I-130 copies or original documents?

Hi guys......well I am almost 'part of the CR1 process gang'

My fiance arrives Saturday 21st July and we get married in Scotland 4 days later.

I want to make sure he takes any paper work/passport photo's of me etc that he will require when sending of the I-130 on his return to the US.

I know he'll need our marriage certificate and also my divorce papers from my previous marriage......do these have to be originals or will copies be accepted?

My parents have written an affidavit and my friend also has stating they know us to be a genuine couple etc.

The whole process seems terrifying,I feel like Im about to jump on the fastest emotional roller coaster ride EVER,and considering the past 4 years of trans-atlantic flights and usual trials being in a LDR was emotional its quite overwhelming reading on here whats still to come.

But like everyone else on here I have no option but to push on so I can eventually be with the man I love.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Only copies will be submitted to USCIS with the I-130.

Yes, you will need to send the original to NVC during the next stage of the process.

well, for most, the butterflies die out when you meet yer spouse past the international terminal at the airport, visa in hand and processed through the POE.

So, if you have no hobbies - get some - yer in for a long haul of waiting.

I garden, build stuff in my workshop, and hang round VJ giving sometimes useful advice.

Ha ha, probably not. You will read on here time and again how London does not require any evidence at the interview but you will still take a pile of the stuff. And I'm already anxious about the ROC stage, even though we have more than a year to go before we can even file!

Thanks guys, I am soooo glad this site exists.

Its also sad that it has to and everyone is having to go through the heartache,stress and frustration that this entire process brings.

I understand why........still sucks though!!!

Thankyou for the best wishes for the wedding, I am currently trying to not convince myself Eric will miss his connecting flight. I will feel much happier when I know he's en route to manchester airport.........then back in my arms!!!!
