Yes James that is indeed straight from the horses mouth.

And as you can see, the missive you posted keeps referring to a 'pending case'.

The K1 is no longer pending. And no AOS has been filed. Do you see where I'm coming from?

Hey, I'm not trying to win an argument - not at all. I'm actually starting to get confused myself, as I believe the 'common wisdom' I've seen relating to this situation was to report the address change when filing the AOS.

But hey if I'm wrong I'll be the FIRST to admit it....

Maybe Yodrak will come along......lol

I believe you have to change your address no matter what your visa status is.

If you move, it says you must fill out the change of address forms

One for the US Citizen, and one for the non US Citizen.

We did this, and they still have our old address on the computer.

We recieved the address change letter in the mail that they received it. We told them at our AOS interview, and they still dont have it right in the computers.

I have called so many times, and they always have my old address.

My sons Green Card was sent back to them, now my corrected Green Card has been sent back to them

Cause they cant push the f&&kin SAVE BUTTON on their computer.

Ok, well, I could totally be reading it wrong but it seems to me to say it's "particularly" important with a pending case and all who aren't US citizens need to report, meaning you need to still do it without a case. I read seeing that all aliens (except those exempt and I couldn't see that that was us) need to do it when they are in the USA. Not trying to argue here either, just want to figure it out so we can tell future people the right stuff! :) And I agree, it is totally confusing (Yodrak?)....which is why I did it to be safe rather than sorry.

Maybe this helps, found it on Octa's post in this thread

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when the move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved please complete form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form.

I think what you have said is correct and everyone that I have spoke with and read have alway said you must notify USCIS / Immigrations / NVC within 10 days of moving. I did it this way and it work for me if "rebeccajo" and anyone else wants to do it another way fine for them. But I believe one should cover their behind.
