Please I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed

Hello Everyone!

I'm a US citizen living in Israel. I'm a newly wed 10 months and counting. :yes: We aren't your normal couple she is Russian :luv: and we were married in Russia even though we live in Israel. We returned from her first trip stateside last week. After a perfect trip we have decided to start our journey of moving to the states. And as I start to review all the information here and on the uscis website I have some questions about where we go from here.

1. Because we don't live in the country where we were married will that hinder or slowdown the proceedings from here?

2. My income although high for the region isn't high enough can my parents (whom we will live with in the states) be our sponsors?

I don't know if you are able to file DCF from Israel - it depends if there is a local field office. If not, it seems that those USCs who reside abroad and use their overseas address on the paperwork are finding that their cases are being auto-expedited. Take a look at this thread:

Answers:

1. No

2. Yes, and now the details. One of your parents will fill out an I-864. If needed, the other parent will fill out an I-864A. Regardless, you will still need to fill out an I-864.
