How come the average processing time for CSC is moving up so much so quickly? It went from 104 to 118 in only a few days. I'm getting ready to send my petition on fri., but watching the processing time go up the way it is, is making me SICK... Matt

Actually the spike does not affect you Matt. The reason for the spike is simple... IMBRA and RFE

For more than three months, from March into June, no processing of applications could occur as the USCIS required months and months to create a one page form asking three questions as required by the IMBRA law. As they sweated and struggled with this challenging problem, nothing happened. Once the new questions were finalized, the new I-129F form and RFE form were released and processing could resume.

From what I can see, the petitions that were sent in starting in July with the new form are moving faster than the average and the backlog of older petitions (March through June) is almost cleared. While there are no guarantees when dealing with the CSC, I would bet that your procesing time will be well below the spiked average you see today.

Mine is even better: It says "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as July 3, 2006*" I got it before you did!
