Final approval from supervisor

We had out AOS interview in May and we made an infopass appointment for today at the Kansas City office, since we are outside of the normal processing time. We were told that there are no RFE's on our file and that our FBI name check was ok. We were told that our file was with the supervisor for final approval.

Does anyone else have experience of this? For anyone who has been through this, how long after this did you hear that your file had been approved?

We were not told about the Supervisor decisions problem, but ...we also had our interview in May and still no knews...i think it is irrespectful, not to give any explanation.

but when it comes to the BCIS everybody looks the other way.

Good Luck.

We made an infopass at Los Angeles office to see why GC had not sent out yet even if we got approved at the interview. At the window, we only received the piece of paper saying my name and AOS pending and the officer said he cannot know the reason why it is penidng on the record. He said to us our case might be sent to her (our interviewer) supervisor for final decision since we had never received any request for additional documents to submit since the interview. When the person at the infopass explained to you about supervisor decision, does it really say that on the screen? I think the person just guessed that idea and said that to you.

He went and spoke to his supervisor, and that's how he was able to tell us that the file was there for final approval. We have made 4 infopass appointments within the last month and it does seem to have helped. We found out that there was an RFE on our file for my finger prints that were only done a few months ago and we were able to get that RFE removed.

We have been fortunate enough to get the same USCIS employee each time and he has been very helpful. He hasn't just sat at his desk and checked the computer, he's actually gone and looked at our file and without that we'd probably still have an RFE and an even more extended wait. Polite persistance will always pay off.
