dear all

i had an interview at the US consulate in Israel regarding my O1 visa

i was told in the interview that i will received my passport back in few days with the visa

a 10 days later someone called me and ask me personal questions and then said my case as to go true Administrative processing

since then its a 2 month from the interview and 7 weeks from the call i received and i didnt got anything back

1. is anyone know how long it should take?

2. can i ask my passport back until the process will be done or it can make it worth?

3. is there a site online that i can see when the process start and what the status

1. There is no specific or maximum time. If it is for security checks, it can take months. If they are only checking on your qualifications or similar, it'll likely be over soon.

2. Yes, jsut contact them and tell them you need your passport. They will send it back to you and then request it again if you are approved for the visa.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

they wrote in the email "our visa application is currently undergoing administrative processing in order to verify your visa qualifications"

are you sure its cant make me damage if ill ask my passport back?

It won't damage your application, but it may delay it if what tey are looking through are previous travel stamps in your passport.
