N-400 & Travel

I am thinking of submitting N-400 next week and from the way it looks, I will get an interview in Sept/Oct. The thing is, I plan on traveling overseas during that time. If the interview is scheduled for a date when I am abroad, is it possible to take interview at a consulate?

No, you cannot do this at the consulate/embassy. Your interview will be at your local USCIS office. Be sure not to miss your interview notice and re-schedule if you cannot do your interview at the appointment date.

One note of caution though: In general, rescheduling your interview can delay your naturalization process significantly. Hence, I would try very hard to go to the interview at the scheduled date if I were you. Just my two cents.
