Helloooo again, so i posted a topic yesterday & i have no idea where that topic went or if it even posted. Still trying to brake the ice on this forum.

I met my fiance in late 2010 on facebook from mutual friends. We've talked ever since on facebook message, emails & skype. I went to Egypt to meet him back in March of this year & got engaged :) I dont want to live in Egypt & i am sick of this distance already so i went to get things goin' here!

I saved all the receipts etc. Now, my question.. For his interview, does he need ORIGINAL copies of my phone cards, plane ticket, reciepts etc? Or can i just make a photo copy of it & send it to him? We have THOUSANDS of facebook messages & THOUSANDS of emails. Are those ALL needed? I will print whatever is needed & send it to him to have at the interview if thats recommended?

Your answers are greatly appreciated~! Thank you. :)

You can scan all the documents and email it to them or snail mail them. Do not forget to add pictures, especially ones with his family and friends with you on them. We used copies, but there again, I was at the interview. Prepare him for the interview. That is crucial! Remember Egypt is a high fraud country so you will need to overcome red flags, should you have any.

Good luck

I would recommend you visit him at least one more time before the interview. Being honest with you having the case approved in the USA is not a big deal, they approve most of the cases, the problem usually happens in the US Consulate abroad. I noticed people that visited fiance/fiancee/husband/wife just once or twice they have their cases many times denied. The USA Consulates want to see more than electronic relationship. Of course if you saw him just once you will not have the same chances from someone that visited their spousal/fiance/fiance 3,5 times. Try to go there and spend some quality time with him before the interview. Good luck.

Well, I recommend lots of photos with each other with family and friends (as someone mentioned above already). As for the emails/chats, well, what I did was just take a print screen of my email inbox folder between me and the hubby showing basically the sender name and the date of the message. With chats/convos, perhaps one conversation/month or week since knowing each other. All is too much in my opinion. I personally didnt print out our personal conversations, but i took screen shots of call logs (showing dates, times, and call duration) on skype and yahoo messenger. Also had my call history priinted from my starfone. I get email notifications of my facebook messages, so i have screen shots of the email log from him as well with the dates... also brought wedding pics and random pics with our fams... HOWEVER, at his interview he wasn't asked to show a single piece of evidence... lol... which drives me crazy since i spent so much time preparing it all... i wished he'd offered to show it all, but its ok... we were approved anyway... wish u all the best!!!

Thank you for your reply!

So they allow that? The interviewer allows you to email proof of emails & messages etc?

You are right & i agree with you. I was being a bit stubborn with this part of the situation because i was trying to avoid going back there because i dont want to spend so much money. We did take lots of pictures with his family & friends, but after what you just told me really makes sense.. I will make another trip back there probably at the end of the year. Two trips should be okay you think right? I'd hope!

First, you SHOULD send the originals for things like boarding passes, receipts, etc. I was always told at the interview for the person to have the originals.

Second, print out a 'sample' of your chats, emails, phone logs, and that show on ongoing relationship and span the length of your relationship. Do you print ALL of them. We printed maybe 20 pages of Skype chats, brought about 20 pictures, no ermails (we text nearly everything) some printouts of my cell phone plan showing some texts, etc. It helped that we also had a joint bank account for nearly 9 months, and bought a condo together in Manila.

Better to bring too much evidence, but as the other poster noted, at our interview they asked for the Affidavit of Support, glanced at our pictures, and didn't ask to see a single other piece of information.

BUT, you still better have it in case they do.

We have lots of photos with family & friends already.. Okay i will probably do the screen shots as well then. Because there are sooooo many..

Would it be a good idea to take screen shots of our facebook photos that include friends comments & likes etc?

OMG that would drive me nuts!!! I went through almost a year of phone call summary's on my phone bill & took notes so i can print out specific pages. If they didn't ask for any of that i'd go crazy lol.
