L-1 Visa Application Approved. What happens next?

Hi, I have been transfered to the US (CHicago) by my company who have applied for an L-1A visa for me. This was approved today according to the status update which I recieved from the USCIS.

What I was hoping someone could help me with is some information on what happens next. I would like to ensure I am prepared for the next steps as thoroughly as possible and most of the information on the wiki here seems to be targeted at people seeking different visa types.

I know I have to go to the US Embassy but will I have to go through the medical stages (and as such do I need to check on the Vacination required for my kids), do I need to obtain the police certificates mentioned?

I am a little unsure what information is required and what the next steps are before I can travel to the US. I would like if possible to be there before the start of the school year in mid-August but I don't know if this is possible. If there is additional information available on the wiki which I haven't found then please feel free to point me at it.

Thank you

I was going through blanket L-1 process so had no USCIS stage - I did receive three copies of I-129S blanket petition with some supporting documents from my company lawyer, set up an appointment in embassy and went for interview with a passport. That's it, no medica, no police certificates. This is temporary worker visa, not a green card...

Are they getting derivative visas (L-2) ? Then I would say yes but you need to confirm it. If they don't (meaning staying where they currently live) then answer is of course no. But double check - I had no family going with me.

And btw - you are probably aware of a payment at the embassy (it was $500 in Warsaw) - just make sure you have the money with you going for interview.
