Hello

I am new to this website and i am trying to seek some help.

I filed for my mother and my brother back in febuary 2012

to petition for both my mother and my brother

a week later they sent me a letter saying both they had been

accepted and sent to the CSC.

Now 4 months later i got an email and text on june 15 2012

saying i was sent out a RFE on my mothers case.

I am impatiently waiting for the hard copy to arrive and its

almost a week.

I wanted to know if someone can tell me what a RFE could be about

i sent everything they asked me to with the application

and i dont recall messing up on anything.

i also wanted to know if i needed to send our birth certificates

translated in English since we were both born in El salvador

they are in Spanish.

I am an American Citizen for 10 years now and this is the first

time ever petitioning for someone!!

please help me, it will be greatly appreciated thanks

IF you didn't send your and your brother's birth certificate with translation, that's likely what they'll be asking for. Translation into english is required for all documents in foreign languages.

We are the poster children for chain migration!

Hi there, and welcome to VJ. :)

I am going to move your post from the Consular Reports of Birth Abroad forum over to Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America forum. You're sure to find your answers there.

Thanks so much. I am still learning how to post questions and comments on this website.

How do i choose which forum i want to write a question in?

And also how do i move them?

Thanks :)

IF you didn't send your and your brother's birth certificate with translation, that's likely what they'll be asking for. Translation into english is required for all documents in foreign languages.

I really hope you're right!

Im freaking out on what it is and im so impatient to get the letter.

Do you happen to know if i need to get both certificates sent from

My mother again and have them notiried?

Thanks :)

They will ask you again for everything that wasn't translated to english...Just to let you that you can find here on VJ a thread that is most for IR-5 cases and could be very helpful because is pretty much everybody in the same boat with different experiences! To find the rigth Forum just look in the FORUMS on the top of the page and click on BRINGING FAMILY MEMBERS OF US CITIZENS TO AMERICA...by the way you are in the rigth FORUM!

The only way you will get there is keeping asking as much questions you wish...Good luck!
