All of this is very frustrating...

i130 filed October 5th (2011)

i 130 approved April 28th (2012) yes it took 7 months

now dealing with NVC... they accept the agent form, asked for the aos fee, paid and accepted that... asked for IV fee, paid and accepted that... I overnighted my AOS and tax information ( for last 3 years ) today... My husband is mailing me all of his civil documents as I was told by NVC they need to receive them here... what kind of time frame am I looking at? I am just curious if I should be planning another visit, or if we will be together again soon?

P.S My husband will be dealing with consulate in Jerusalem... ( He is Palestinian )

Thanks for any help <3

Nicole

Providing you don't get an RFE for incomplete/missing documents, you are at the last step before case complete. It's only about 2wks after you submit the IV package to get case complete normally (once you know they received the documents, you can call every day to check the status of your case) If your husband can hurry up & get the package out to you this week, you could possibly be done with NVC by mid July.

Its so confusing because the website for NVC says one thing.. and they say another on the phone... The website said all civil documents need to be brought to consulate for day of interview.. when i called and verified, I was told NO it needs to be submitted to NVC in USA. I was also told AOS and w2s could be submitted electronically... called to verify the email address and then told NO you have to mail them in. We were together for 2 years when he was in the USA... family friends etc... married in Jordan in Sept 2011... I went to visit for a month in January 2012... and now we are in June.. I miss him.. wish there was a solid time frame to go by. If my income reflected on w2s has been above required amount for all 3 years... what other problems could we run in to? I thought uscis was a nightmare, we had to wait 7 months for approval. I was under impression NVC wasnt bad at all, however after reading others post, I am feeling a little overwelmed... thanks for all your help!!

There are different procedures for different countries (a few are eligible for electronic processing) most are not, and everything has to be snail mailed. DCF filers would bring documents to interview, but most of us filing in the US have to send all originals & photocopies of each to NVC & then THEY forward it all to the interviewing embassy. The embassy website says "whatever documents you already submitted to NVC does not have to be brought to interview"..they are covering all filing scenarios on the website, you have to follow the guidelines specific to your husband's country. You are almost done so just send in what they want & be done with it!

Good luck!
