Hi there! Thanks for ur reply. My husband will try to call them by the end of June since they received it last week of May so it'll be exactly 1 month.. We're just goin to try to update since my cousin's case is almost the same with ours. They got approved in 3months. they keep on calling USCIS. But that was way back 2009. that's why I asked today. hehehe!! i checked it everyday in USCIS website and it's still in "Initial Review".. And the last date updated is still June 4.. I feel so frustrated talaga :(

hi guys, I have a question. Aside from checking the status of our case in USCIS website, will it affect our papers if my husband will call them and ask for update on our papers? Thank you to all who will leave there replies.! :dance:

As jkelly says, you can call as much as you like. But, you do realize you will be calling an awful lot. Look at the bottom of your timeline for the expected date...it says;

"Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 7, 2012 and October 23, 2012*."

I would not get myself worked up by calling a lot, you're just gonna get frustrated.

Good luck...BE Patient.

Yeah I know. We're planning to call them every end of the month til we get an answer from them or til we get approved so they know were doing a follow up and they won't take our papers for granted..

they didn't notify you that they need rfe til u called them? good thing then u called them. anyway how long did it took for u to get approved? ive seen on ur timeline 5 months? in our case, my husband has a good job in seattle. our papers are complete when we sent it to them. the remaining papers needed are also ready na. our money for payments/fees is ready na also. do u think these will affect our papers approval?

No. It wont affect the waiting time whatsoever. Keep in mind that many have filed before you, and you have to wait till someone gets to your file before you hear something from them. Please, keep yourself busy with other things. It's for your own good. It's only been less than a month since you filed, there is still a long wait ahead of you.
