The AOS will cost a total of $1070 that is $985 for the I-485 and $85 for the Biometrics, for the medical you want to shop around.

thank u for the quick response :).. do u have an idea if it will cost $2000 in all?

I payed a total of $1070 because we did the AOS a month after we got married, you need to go to a Civil Surgeon and there can be a big difference in price. I don't believe that your medical will cost you $900.

When I called the CS places here they wanted between $350 - $600 USD for a medical. You just have to call each place and see the prices. Everywhere is different because they have no regulations and can charge whatever they want.

Also - when asking a question its best to include all information about your situation possible so you can get the answers the quickest. good.gif

My medical ended up costing WAY more than I anticipated:

I was quoted $150 for my medical, and the total cost of my appointment was about $500 because I unexpectedly needed to have 4 vaccinations updated. I wrongly assumed my vaccination were up to date! Yikes! Shoulda got those shots for free in Canada :(

So, that's something to consider! If you need to get vaccinations at your medical exam it will be more expensive.

did you get xrays done?

I called different clinics and all gave me different prices. So I started asking them if they had a flat fee and found one 5 minutes away from home... $200. 4 shots, tb test and no xrays needed....

Sorry they over charged you.
